Prairie Song Summer Luau Draws Over 300 Attendees for a Day of Family Fun!
The aloha spirit was alive and well in Northern Colorado on Saturday, August 2nd, as the Prairie Song community hosted its highly anticipated Summer Luau at Birdsong Park in Windsor. With more than 300 guests in attendance, the festive event brought together residents, neighbors, and future homeowners for a vibrant day full of entertainment, delicious local food, family-friendly activities, and a firsthand look at Windsor’s most exciting new neighborhood.
From the moment guests arrived, they were immersed in a tropical celebration. The Kalama Polynesian Dancers wowed the crowd with a high-energy performance, while the soothing sounds of a live ukulele player and the upbeat mixes from a local DJ kept the party vibes going strong all afternoon.
Food lovers were in for a treat with mouthwatering offerings from local favorites, including Sunny Stacks Pancakes, Wild Brats, Cilantro & Lime, Kona Ice, and refreshing Herbal Mocktails.
Adding to the excitement was a special visit from Slapshot, the beloved Colorado Eagles mascot, who brought smiles to fans of all ages. Families also had the chance to explore model homes from acclaimed builders like Bridgewater Homes, Century Communities, and Richmond American Homes, as well as get a sneak peek at upcoming single-family homes and cottages by Hartford Homes.
For the youngest attendees, the day was packed with fun—from caricature art and a balloon twister to bubbles, temporary tattoos, and free snow cones, courtesy of builder-hosted activity stations.
Guests were encouraged to participate in a Builder Passport activity, which invited them to meet with each builder and enter to win exciting prizes. The grand prize—a two-night stay at the Gaylord Rockies Resort—was awarded to Veronica Contreras, a proud Prairie Song resident. Other prizes included a signed Colorado Eagles jersey and giveaways from local Windsor businesses.
“We really enjoyed ourselves at the Luau, and the kids absolutely loved all the fun activities,” said Contreras. “It was a great opportunity to get out, mingle with neighbors, and learn about all that's to come in the Prairie Song community. We recently moved here from Greeley because we love the location—its close proximity to downtown Windsor and Windsor Lake, the school district, and the amenities.”
The Luau was more than just a party—it was a celebration of the lifestyle that Prairie Song offers. With its welcoming atmosphere, family-focused amenities, and a growing roster of future-forward homes, the community continues to showcase why Windsor is one of Colorado’s most desirable places to live.
Stay tuned for more events from Prairie Song as the neighborhood continues to grow and thrive!
